Chin Up, Beautiful was the second painting I created during a season of healing and learning to forgive myself after my divorce.

I had done everything I thought I was supposed to do. I followed the rules, made the plans, and believed that if I did things the “right” way, everything would work out. It didn't. Part of healing was realizing that the journey wasn't a failure—that chapter had simply ended, and it was time to move forward.

She holds her chin high beneath a crown of roses, carrying both the beauty and the weight of what she has been through. The butterflies represent transformation and the lessons we carry forward.

Chin Up, Beautiful is a reminder that some experiences are only meant to accompany us for part of the journey. Take the lesson, give yourself grace, and keep your chin up.
